Great news, The project has been notified be the solicitors acting for the estate of the late Mr Derek Jessop that it is the residual beneficiary of his estate. As probate has not yet been granted we are unsure as to the sum involved , but it is believed that this legacy along with the funds already raised and legacy received from the estate of the late Mr Basil Bird will go a considerable way towards the build costs of the new hall.
Charitable Status. The Committee decided some time ago to seek charitable status and to this end an application to become a Foundation CIO (a Foundation Charitable Incorporated Organisation) has recently been submitted to the Charity Commission. It is ancipated that we will hear the outcome of our application in a month or so.
